2nd class...

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh...

Last week, it was the second lecture of strategic management subject. We have learn on the nature of strategic management and also the business vision and mission..

In the first topic, I have learn about what is the meaning of strategic management. For your information, strategic management is also known as strategic planning. A company must have a strategic planning to ensure that their company will be successful in future. Besides that, I have also learn about stages of strategic management which consist of strategy formulation, strategy implementation and strategy evaluation. This help the company to identify their vision and mission, SWOT analysis and objective. This three stages occur at three hierarchical levels in an organization. Furthermore, Miss Ummi also tell that an entrepreneur must see a problem as their opportunities. That's how they will success in future.

From this lecture, we can learn some lesson which is to be successful,we need to plan for future. We must have effort and rely to Allah which means tawakkal because Allah know what is the best for us.

For the second topic, Miss Ummi explained to us on vision and mission. What I have learn are vision is what do you want to become and mission is how you want to achieve it. I also learn on how important is the vision and mission statement to an organizational. Besides that, Miss Ummi also told us a lot of her experiences on successful company. I think everyone should know what is their vision and mission in their life. It could help us achieve what we want to have in future.

In my opinion, whatever the vision and mission, we must remember that akhirah is still our final destination. Besides planning for this Dunya, we must also remember to planning for our akhirah..what our good deeds we must do,to be in heaven and many more..If we can't achieve what we had planned, we should never give up because Allah know better than us..

Here I want to share some speech  I get from Fb Yasmin Mogahed :

1st class: tallest tower...

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh...

Hurm...this was the first time Miss Ummi give lecture to us. She had explained to us about the course outline for this subject and she also given us many advices to all of us. One of the advices that I remember are she encourage us to practicing doing Dhuha prayer continuously. Besides that, she also encourage us to change ourself which means hijrah and we have to istiqomah with the changes we have make. Other than that, she also ask us to buy business magazines to be updated with the current business issues. I really interested to explore more on this.

The most interesting part on the first lecture is the task given by Miss Ummi which is build the tallest tower using newspaper. We need to form a group of thirteen first. After that, we were given newspaper and we have to build the tallest tower in 15 minutes only. My group try our best to made it as fast as possible. All the group members contribute idea and effort to competing the task. Firstly, we build the basement and continue build the tower by rolling the newspaper and cellotape it. At the top of the tower we put a flag. I think that's make our group tower look different from other group...hehe

After 15 minutes, each group need to send their tower in front of the lecture hall. After that, Miss Ummi will push the tower little bit to look whether the tower is stable or not. This was the interesting part because all group excited to see which tower will collapse..haha..After that, Miss Ummi walk around to ask her students opinion on this activity.

I really love this activity. We can learn many lessons from it. Firstly, we will learn on how to cooperate well with members in a group. It was called teamwork. In a company, teamwork is a crucial in completing task and a company should have a good leader which can gives instruction and make his subordinate to follow it. We also need an effective strategy in completing task.

Finally, I really enjoy this activity. Hope Miss Ummi will always do activities that make us gain and learn something from it... :)

   the making of newspaper tower

Why I create this blog??

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh everyone... :)

        

Today, I would like to introduce myself first. My name is Muslihah Binti Mohamed. I come from Johor Bahru and I am studying Bachelor of Muamalat Administration at USIM in third year already (so fast)....

Do you want to know why i create this blog??....here i will tell you..

This was my first time creating a blog. Before this, I never have this kind of social networking. I only create a facebook account. I think Facebook is already enough as my only social networking to communicate with my family and friends. I never think to create a blog because I did'nt like to write a diary. For me, blog is similar to diary..hehe

ok..now i will tell u the reasons..

The reason why I force myself to create it was my favourite lecturer for Strategic Management subject for this semester which is Ummi Salwa. She ask us to create a blog and write about what we have learn in her class in the blog..I really impressed with her because she was a sporting lecturer and can make the class become enjoyable and happening..I really love it..She also break a record when she become the first lecturer using cordless mic in the lecture hall which i have never experienced it before..She love to walk up and down in the lecture hall questioning her students which make me feel anxious...hehe

I really admire her..InsyaAllah I will try my best to pass this subject..Miss Ummi please give me and my fellow friends A for this subject..May Allah make it easier for us.. :)

hurm..before I end this entry, I want to tell you something..I think after I create this blog it give me many advantages and make me have a courage to write for next entry..I think from this blog, I can share knowledge that I have learn in class to other people..

I also can change idea and information with my friends here and it also can strengthen our friendship...

Besides that, I can change my method of study for this subject. It was interesting right...
